Vga Driver Intel 82845g. I'm looking for a progrom for the Mac that is good for sampling music and manipulating, beatmatching, creating my own tracks. Sort of like doing samples on Acid Pro for PC. What's the best program for Mac? Garage Band kind of blows when it comes to sampling music and putting tracks together. I just spent $269 on Soundtrack Pro, but I'm SCARED to open the box, because I don't think this is what I want. I love editting movies, too, so maybe this will come in handy - but what are its pros and cons? So: I'm looking for something similar to Acid.

Although, I AM more comfortable with programs designed by Mac FOR Mac. What about Logic? I just saw that that program is a whopping $999 on line. I just want to have fun like you can on Acid.

I've found it difficult when you're just working with samples. Or Logic or WHAT? I too had this question right after I made the switch (about 3 months ago).
Currently I'm in the pro video/audio business and use Pro Tools and Soundtrack Pro. Believe it or not, I also use GarageBand from time to time. GarageBand is very similar to Acid (looped based material).
I've used Acid and Sound Forge before making the switch. I still have a little difficulty understanding everything that I've converted to, but it sure is a lot of fun learning. I really like the beatmapping tool in Acid though.
