The casting of Ray Stevenson is well deserved and should have been done in the 2004 film. Tom Jane is a great actor but the look of the Punisher character is already established and he did not look the part. This film is very true to the comic and is ultra violent. This character is well past the point of redemption and Ray Stevenson brings appropriate weight to his scenes of regret during the movie. A person should see this movie if you have ever felt that the producers and/or directors did not give a comic book movie the 'authentic' look. A great action film.
