I've not long returned from a two week stay at this hotel (laugh). The pool itself was never cleaned, the pool area was never cleaned, the bar staff were ignorant, the hygiene was awful.Cigarette stumps and plastic glasses litter the whole complex. I've already written a review, and for some unknown reason it has disappeared. This is the most vile hotel i have ever stayed in, and if you believe the positive reviews on here, which are frankly unreal, then you are in for a big big shock. The views are good. And that is all.

Quite frankly, I don't know what people were complaining about. The hotel is situated in a lovely position with fantastic views, It has it's own rocky beach from where you can go kayaking and swimming, plus 3 lovely pools. We always found the staff to be hardworking and polite, when we arrived we had some things in our room which required attention and they fixed it almost straight away.

Finally booked the hotel, chose club vista bahia in Portinatx. The price was very good,and my friend and her son are joining us now, so the fact that its going to be. This is a 3star hotel and that's what you get basically, I don't know why people come here and expect 5 star service. Mealtimes were very busy and quite often there would be a shortage of cutlery or some dishes would run out, but the staff were always happy to replenish, if you told them.

This was probably owing to the behaviour of the guests more than anything else, on numerous times we saw the other guests behaving like complete gluttons, on one occasion we saw a guest put an entire bunch of bananas in their handbag, then they sneaked out! Portinax is ashort walk away, there is a lovely sandy beach there, and lots of bars etc. All in all we had a great time and think this hotel is great value for money, providing you're not expecting the Ritz, you'll have a fabulous holiday. Just had a fantastic holiday here.Activities in abundance all day if you want to and entertainment every evening is all free!! 3 pools and plenty of sunbeds for all.
